In a touching letter to his daughters, Malia [pictured left; age 10] and Sasha [pictured right; age 7], President-in-waiting Barack Obama sent a message of love and revealed the real reason he decided to run for the highest position in all the land: "because of what I want for you and for every child in this nation." Obama goes on to talk about how as a youngster the only thing he was focused on was his placement in society. Where he would end up, how far he would go, who he would pass along the way, & what he would do once he got "there". This all changed when these girls came into his life says Obama: "I realized that my own life wouldn't count for much unless I was able to ensure that you had every opportunity for happiness and fulfilment in yours." The best part about Obama's message is simple, not only does he want the best for his girls, but also for every child in America today, moreso than his predecessor, Mr. "no child left behind"..
